THE WEATHER.
A WELCOME RAIN
Yesterday broke dully, and early in the morning rain commenced to fall, continuing almost incessantly until well on in the evening. A fresh southerly wind was blowing, making matters most unpleasant for those whose business necessitated their being outdoors. There was a nasty choppy sea in the bay, but it moderated considerably as the wind died down towards evening.
