OTAGO DISTRICT SYNOD

DUNEDIN, Nov. 24

The Otago District Methodist Synod was opened to-day. It was decided that the Itev. A. C. Randerson may be recommended for reception into full connexion, subject to the written examination being satisfactory. It was also decided that the Rev. F. Rands, P. R. Paris, and R, IT. Wylie should pass in their years, subject to their written examinations being satisfactory. A report from the Governor'' of the Training College in Auckland emphasised the necessity for a theological hall and facilities for training an increased number of men.
