THE OTAKI ELECTION PETITION. TO BE GONE ON WITH. Our Wellington correspondent telegraphs: I hear that the petition to upset the Otaki election is likely to he gone on with. AN OPPOSITION CANDIDATE ENTERTAINED.
DANNEYIRKE, Nov
Mr. George Hunter, Opposition Candida to for Waipawa, was this evening entertained at a complimentary banquet at Danncvirke by this supporters. There was a gathering of about 130 ladies and gentlemen, and the proceedings were enthusiastic. The candidate, was the .recipient of a souvenir of the election, and expres•e,[ his intention of again contesting the seat if his supporters wished. Air.
