AUCKLAND, Nov. 26
Air. Kettle, S.M., gave reserved judgment to-day in charges under the Electoral Act agu-inst Emil Erickson, .James J kin, and John Endeaii. It appeared that Ernleau and ikin were canvassing for chums lor enrolmentikin boarded a vessel and induced Erickson to -sign a claim for enrolment. Ikin was nof entitled to attest Erickson’s signature, but Endean, who was sttHiding on the wharf and Saw Erickson sign, subsequently appended his signature as witness. Tlie Alagistrate commented upon the fact that the claim wa s not road over to Erickson, who wits not conscious lie was committing a breach of the daw. in making a declaration that die was a British subject-. He had resided in New Zetland" twelve months. His Worship dismissed all tbrfodiiiormations.
