The opening day’s racing in connection with the Takapuna Jockey Club’s spring meeting took place on the"club’s course at the North Shore this afternoon. Tile weather was fine, and despite the strong counter,attraction of the show there was a goods attendance. The sum of £772 1 10s was invested on the .tptalisator. Results: — " Trial Handicap, 1 mile.—Eseamillo 9.0 (Buchanan) 1, blaster Crespin 8.0 (Brady) 2, Silent 8.4 (McMillan) 3. Also started: Puj>enui 8.10, Explosive 8.5, St. Cyren 8.4, Okailiau 8.0.
