Messrs Coleman and Beero invite tenders for t-lie- right to cut- 20 acres of rye-grass seed at To Arai. M. li. R, Smith, watchmaker and jeweller,, announces that lie is retiring from business, and finishes liis closing sale on Christmas Eve. Mr. d. Peckover advertises for sale a five-roomed house and quarter-acre of laud in Gladstone road, and a good house and section in Palmerston Road.
The Perfection Fruit and Confectionery Depot has an advertisement, calling attention to its fruit, confectionery, and summer drinks. An event of this week will bo a . monster auction sale of drapery, clothing, boots and shoes, household linen, etc., by the Coliseum merchants, of Melbourne. The sale starts to-morrow at 2 p.m., and will be continued on Saturday at -*-*■ o’clock. The firm have held exceedingly big sales throughout tbo centres of New Zealand vlus last thiee months. . . A first-class cook is required by Messrs Clare and Sons. _
