POVERTY iBAY ROWING CLUB. The final heats dn the first rounds for the medails presented hv iMr F.‘ Harris were rowed on the Taruheru river on Saturday afternoon, wihen G. Douglas and J. O’Neill beat A. Kirk and L. 'Clark by a length, after a good race. R. Jones and P. Fischbach beat T. Sheen and W. Lowe by a quarter of a length. J. Webb and W. Hall won by default. In tlie second round the following crews meet this evening: —R. Jones. Bind P. Fischbach (2 sec.), C. 'Somervell and T. Charters (9 sec.), iG. Douglas and J. O’Neill (8 secs.), A. Pritchard and G.
