PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS. [Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Dec. 22. The following promotions and transfers in the Post and Telegraph Department are announced by the Post-master-General: —Mr R. Keele, postmaster, Queenstown, is promoted to the postmastership of Lyttelton, in place of Mr J. Delaney, who is retiring on .a pension; Mr J. A. Algie. relieving-postmaster, Wellington, succeeds Mr Keele as postmaster of Queenstown. The Tailiape office has been raised in status, and Mr J. Owens, postmaster at Woodville, is promoted to that office. Mr R. Boyne, postmaster at Taihape, replaces Mr Owens at Woodville. An exchange has been arranged between Mr J. J. Pickett, postmaster at Stratford, and Mr C. E. Nicholas, postmaster at’ Tauranga.
