SCOW URUROA ABANDONED

WANGANUI, Dec. 23
The scow Ururoa, which went ashore near the entrance a week ago, has been abandoned, and will be sold by 'auction next week. The weather so far has been unfavorable for salvage operations in connection with the stranded and submerged Charles Edward, which appears to bo settling deeper into the sandy bed near the breakwater.
