KILLED THROUGH JUMPING FROM A TRAIN.

DUNEDIN,- Dec. 23

A fatal accident occurred on the railway at Mussel Bay near Port Chalmers, to-night. A boy named Alex "McPherson, son of John McPherson, carpenter, Port Chalmers, was killed. The boy was a passenger by train from Dunedin and .jumped off before it stopped. He fell and was drawn beneath a carriage and killed instantly. The deceased only recently started work in Dunedin.
