BOATING FATALITY.
MEMBER OF VEST’S COMBINATION DROWNED.

CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 23
Charles Blonfgren, of Sydney, a member of Degroen’s orchestra., at present touring with West’s pictures, was drowned'in the Avon at Bunvood this afternoon. The deceased was out boating with two other members of the orchestra, when the boat, a light rowing skiff with outriggers, capsized. The two other men managed to get ashore, but Bloingren sank, and could not- be located. The body lias not yet been recovered.
