THREAT FROM THE UNIONS

SYDNEY, Dec. 25
The combined unions at Broken Hill have informed the- Proprietary Company that it was intended to strongly advise the men against accepting lower wages on any of the mines which have not signed the agreement arrived between the Mining Managers’ Association and the combined unions, and that the action of the proprietary in offering reduced wages from January first, if persisted in, would bo regarded as a lock-out.
