Hughes, 6—2, 6—l. . In the Men’s Doubles, second round. Quill and Prouse beat Leggatt and Rowley. 6—4, 3—6, 6—2. 6—4, 9—7; F. Wilding and A. F. Wilding beat Mitchell and Derose, 6—o, 6—o, 6—o. In the Ladies’ Doubles, first round, Misses Nunnelly and Braithwaite beat Misses R. Hughes and N. L. Hughes, 6—3, 6—l; Misses Powdrell and Gray beat Misses Bloxam and Meares, 6—l, 6 ; Misses Wellwood and Travers beat Misses Bock and Bath am, 10—8, 4—6, 6—l; Misses Todd and- Seed beat Misses Turton and Hanay, 6—2, 6—2.
