A NORWEGIAN STEAMER . ‘ WRECKED.

SYDNEY, Dec. 28
The ferry steamer Frederick Davis, purchased at Richmond River to run in the Melbourne service, was voyaging to Melbourne and sank 30 miles south of Clarence Heads in heavy weather. .The crew of seven landed safely by a, boat in an exhausted condition.
Advice has been received that theNorwegian < steamer Solglint was wrecked while sealing at Crozet Islands. She was damaged while entering an uncharted channel and beached to prevent her sinking. A portion of her stores was landed, and a heavy sea broke the Solglint up. The crew of 70 (remained- oh the island a month and were rescued by two sailing schooners and landed at Durban. , . „
