A FALL OVER A CLIFF

WELLINGTON, Dec. 29

Constable Mahoney, in charge of the Upper Hutt station ' telegraphed to the Wellington authorities this afternoon that'the dead hody of a man named John McCarthy had been found on the Moonshine road this 'morning. McCarthy was last seen on the evening of the 27th inst. about four miles distant from the Upper Hutt, where an inquest was held, the verdict being that deceased met his death by falling over a cliff.
