THEFT. A respectably dressed young man mined Austin Walker pleaded guilty to a charge of the theft of a nigbtgoAvn. the property of some person or persons unknoAvn. Accused ..stated that lie Avas under the influence of liquor at the time and that lio w.d not reallv intend to steal the article. His AVorship severely reprimanded him, pointing out- that if he left liquor alone he avouUl not (get into trouble. Accused Avas convicted and discharged.
IMPORTUNING. A young woman named la-v. Hill ali is VoAvles Avas charged Avith loitering and soliciting prostitution. She p'eaded guilt and as it Avas her first offence and the S.AL considered she had been led away by the influence of an older woman," whom she .was with, ..the accused av is sentenced to four days’ imprisonment.
