The Otago Golf Club’s Near A'ear tournament avas concluded to-day in gusty, showery weather.*'* avith the . fourth round of the Amateur Championship of Otago, and a mixed bogey foursome. The scores avere from good „to fair. Hamilton Smith (Otigo) went -round in 88, winning the championships avith 334. Basil Smith (Otago) avas runner-up avith 347, going in S 4; H. 1). Stronaeh, third, with 363; H. L. Salmon 372, G. A. Gow (Christchurch) 376, G. H. Mnceavan (Otago) 379. The medal handicap, played concurrently, avith the -above,_ avas avon by A. Laing (St. Clair) Si —12 —<7; J. A. Park Otago) being runner-up avith 86 —6—Bo. The combined foursome resulted in a tie between J. Forbes and Miss F<>tlieriiigham (St. Clair Club) and H. M-acneill (Sydney) and Miss Rattray (Otago) with the doavn.
