Victoria, Auckland, Jan. 9.. Waikare, South, Jan. 10. VESSELS IN PORT. Awanui, schooner. Sonorita, barquentine. Ivaeo, a.s. Waiapu, a.s. Matatua s.s. in the Bay. The Shaw Savi.ll and Albion Co.’s Matatua arrived in the Bay late on Sunday night after a fast passage from Lyttelton. She loads a large quantity of wool and frozen mutton at this port and is expected to leave for Napier on. Thursday night. The "Westport Coal Company’s Regulus arrived from Westport yesterday .afternoon and berthed successfully before 4 p.m. She brought 500 tons of coal and discharging operations were at once commenced. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall is due here to-morrow morning from Tologa Bay and Auckland with general cargo. She returns again to-morrow night. The U.S.S. Co.’s Flora is due to leave Auckland this afternoon for •Coast ports, Gisborne and Napier. The U.S.S. Co.’s Waikare arrives from South to-morrow morning and proceeds .later to Auckland. She leaves Auckland again for South early on Saturday morning and arrives here early on Sunday. Present arrangements are that the last launch leaves the wharf at S a.m. The U.S.S. Co..’s Mokoia arrives from Auckland and Sydney to-morrow afternoon and continues her voyage south in the evening. The auxiliary schooner Ivaeo sails to-morrow for Coast ports and Auckland. When the Kai Ora wreck inquiry was being hold at Auckland, the Court adjourned so as to enable a search of the locality of the wreck to be made. The Marine Department have received advice that the search was Unsuccessful, and no trace of the bodies of the captain of the Kia Ora or his son was found. Captain Carlson, late of Messrs. Richardson’s s.s. Fanny, lias taken permanent command of tho Kahn, Captain Thompson having resigned.

SaSed (o p.m.) Squall, for Gisborne, via Tologa J3ay. Sailed (6.30 p.m.) Manuka for Sydney. NAPIER, Jan 4. Arrived at 6 a.m., Monowai from Gisborne. WELLINGTON, Jan. 4. Arrived at 9 a.m., Arapawu from Clyde, via. Albany. The new steamer Arapawa, built for the Patea Shipping Company, reached Wellington to-day after a voyage of 103 days from the Clyde. vShe was delayed owing to poor coal and heavy weather.
