His solo was received with deafening ajP« and, as an encore mtmwi. h- , “Far from the Land. hi Marwick delighted the audience with his eotnie song, u it.i “What Marv Did.” and the audience was so captivated with the number (hat Mr Warwick had to favor them with another item, the short monologue. “I’ve got a Job, winch was cually entertaining. A unique little lullabv song “Good Night was Miss Maud'Fane's next number, the novelty being the chorus singing, each member carrying lighted candles, which were extinguished, as the bearers were sent eft" to bed. Air I ercival MaeKcnzie charmed the auidieneo with his banio solo “A Aled.ey on National airs” and was also honored with an encore. The first part of the programme was brought to a eO.se hv a coon song by Air AA arwiek and the company, founded upon the Shakespearian story of “.Borneo and Juliet"’ the wording being distinctly coon and the melody captivating. ■ . The second part of the programme took the form of a nautical seen a “Tho Sailor’s Life,” in which the artists were dressed- and comported themselves as sailors. In this sceua-*--r* Miss Parker cleverly danced a sailor s hornpipe, and songs "ami stories weie sung and told by other members of the. Company, the final mimoer bein<y a rollicking chorus ’The bubmarino and the AA hale. By the aio of an easel, sheets of white paper and a charcoal noncil Air Afacßenzie delivered a humorous lecture on earlv art, and drew some clever cartooiis in ' illustration thereof.
