The first round of the single sculls for the anonymous donor’s trophy was continued last night. W. McGuffie (4sec) beat J. O’Neil (17 sec) by a length and R. Jones (scf) heat F. E. Porter (13sec). L. Nicolas won by default from J. Scott, who had to go away by the steamer. . The last race in the first round will he rowed to-night, when G. Douglas (14soc) meets A. Pritchard (9sec). The second round will commence tonight. W. Pritchard (13secs). meets L. Nicolas (17sec)'; W. McGuffie >(4sec) meets R. Wilkinson (lOsec). Friday night T. Fischbach (15sec) meets C. Somervell (Bsec); A. Kirk (9sec) meets J. Nicolas (4secs); (R. Jones '(scr) meets Dick Sceats (30sec); T. McConnell will row the winner of Pritchard and Douglas, and C. Clark has a bye.
