Mr G. A. Gilruth, late Chief Government Veterinariin, with his family, leaves Wellington on Monday next for the South, en route to Melbourne.

Mr John Duthie, of Wellington, formerly a member of the House of Representatives, is paying a visit to Gisborne. He is to leave for tho South on Sunday. Mr and Mrs Eastlake, well-known British artists, who have exhibited at the Royal Academy, will shortly pay an extended visit to New Zealand. Mrs Eastlake is a sister of Dr Bell, director of the New Zealand Geological survey. Dr Bell’s father and mother, who live in Canada, will also probably visit New Zealand in September.
