The Shakespeare Memorial Committee’s sub-committee recommends that the public be .asked to equip and endow a national theatre, at a cost of half a million pounds sterling, in London. Mayors are to be asked to open subscription' lists. It is hoped the theatre will be opened by Shakespeare’s tercentenary in 1916.
