LAND FOR DAIRY FARMS.
GISBORNE’S NEEDS.
DISCUSSED BY THE LxIND BOARD. ’ The ’need in Gisborne kb. small dairy farms was the meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Land Board yesterday, when Mr Lane moved that the; Government he requested to provide more land in the Gisborne district suitable for farms for workers who have saved a small sum of mopey. The mover said there was a grelit land . hunger for small dairying sections around Gisborne. The Lands for Settlement Act had done a great de&l of good and the working of the Act should not stopped. The Commissioner and other members of the Board agreed with what Mr Lone said and the motion was carried unanimously. While informally discussing the question, various blocks of land belonging to Messrs John Clark and Chambers and the Wi Pere estate were mentioned as suitable for subdivision.
