PROVISIONING THE BARRIER MINE. A FIGHT F<Sr A FLAG. United Pkess Association. Copyuighi SYDNEY, Jan. 11. Bail was refused to Tom Mann and others arrested. Another load of ' provisions was taken to the mine yesterday. There was no attempt to block it. During Saturday’s riot the-police captured tlie flag carried during the procession. It was recaptured. The police again captured it. Several persons on both sides were wounded, but no one seriously.

SYDNEY, Jan. 11. At the Broken Hill Police Court today Tom Mann and 27 others were charged with unlawfully assembling together and taking part in a riot, and were remanded for a week. Bail was* allowed, each in £2OO. The Mayor bailed Mann, and sureties were found for the others-. On individual charges of stone-throwing, assaulting the police, and using indecent language, all were similarly remanded on £lO bail. An immense crowd assembled round the courthouse. The press broke down the gates. The police used their batons and drove the crowd back to restore order. * One arrest was made.

MELBOURNE, Jan. 11. The Proprietary Company directors lengthily discussed in camera the question of submitting the trouble to the Arbitration Court. It is understood that- they are awaitiug further information from the general manager of the mine before coming to a. decision. The Postmaster-General stated tonight that lie had received from a reliable source confidential news of the most reassuring character concerning the Barrier trouble.
