LONDON. Jan. J 4. The lion. W. Hail-J ones has arrived in London. MESSAGE FROM THE HON. W. P. REEVES. [Press Association.] TIMARU, Jan. 14. The Premier has received n cable message from the Hon. W. P. Reeves, dated London, January 13th, as follows: —“On quitting the post 1 have had the pleasure to hold for the last thirteen years, I desire to express my thanks to you for the uniform special courtesy shown to me by you as Minister and Premier, also to say how much the confidence you have been good enough to place in my zml and my humble judgment has tended to my doing my work here Avith success. You have my very-good wishes.” The Premier replied as follows: —- “I much appreciate your kind farewell message. During your long tenure of office you discharged the important and difficult duties attaching to your position with complete satisfaction to tlie GoA-erninmit. ’ I desire to place on record the valuable assistance you have at all times rendered me. You have my sincorest Avislies for your future Avelfave in your new sphere.”
