LLOYD GEORGE’S UTTERANCES. CRITICISM BY LORD CROMER. United Press Association, Copyright. (Received Jan. 19, 11.16 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 19. % Lord Cromer, speaking at Leeds, declared that Mr. Lloyd George’s utterances had rudely shaken the confidence of investing classes. Money was not being invested in British indistricts, and a Budget did not inspire confidence when the Government undertook large- liabilities without knowing how they were going to be met. If Mr. Lloyd George followed the advice of his more extreme followers, the days of the Government were numbered. Another very heavy blow had been inflicted on the cause of freetrade.
