THE MINERS' DIFFICULTY.
NO FU'HUHBIt DEVELO'I’inSNXS. [Press Association.] HUNTIN', Jan. 21. The trouble at Huntly is still unsettled. To-day’s proceedings have been quiet, the only excitement being a procession through the streets. Apparently nothing is to be done until the arrival to-morrow night of the Minister of Mines. In the meantime the TLupiri Company is preparing for 'a lengthy period of inaction. It is. stated that a minority is in favor of returning to world[ and that that minority is growing. Representatives of the Auckland Trades and Labor Council and tlio Waterside Workers Union arrived in Huntly to-night ami htt.d a conference with the Miners Union Executive, hut the result of the ineeting was withheld from the ] > rcss. .
