The “Standard,” “Mail,” and the “Chronicle” contain leaders on the linperial Press Conferenco,as marking a fresh strengthening of ties between the Motherland and the colonies. The “Times” says that after the Premiers comes the Press, the unofficial mouthpiece of that public opinion ■which makes Premiers, to which Premiers must how, more than some of them are quite willing to acknowledge. THE CHRISTCHURCH REPRESENTATIVE. (Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 22. Air. R. M. McDonald, one of the Christchurch “Press” Company, who leaves rfor England next month, will be the Christchurch representative at the Imperial Press Conference, opening in London early in June.
