The chances of A r ictoria securing the blue ribbon of the tournament were perhaps more fancied, but, on the other hand, the Caledonian supporters, who had seen Iveast’s play on the previous day, .pinned flieir faith to him with confidence. At the 11th head the scare was 16 to 7 in favor of Caledonian, the play being characterised by Iveast’s magnificent drawing. Entering the 20tli head ißary was five down, and a great contest ensued.
