. POVERTY BAY CLUB. The semi-final was rowed last evening for Mr. Peacocke’s .medals- between M. McLeod (sir), A. McConnell (3); P. Fischbac’h (2), E. Roche (bow) and F, .Seymour (str), G. Douglas (3), J. O’Neill (2), and W. Lowe (bow).— Both crews got well away together, but at tbe end' of the river near Dr, Williams’, McLeod, had a lead of lialf-
a-length. Seymour’s crew made a great effort at the Ivaiti bridgo to draw up llevel with their opponen ts, but McLeod callocl on his men and kept his lead, winning by length after a very good race. This evening McLeod meets A. Pritchard in tho final, and a very good race is expected. GISBORNE CLUB. ' z The races for the: medals presented by Dr. Schumacher wero continued last evening; when two further heats were rowed. Johnston’s orev beat Dobson’s by about a length.,, and a similar margin separated the crews stroked by Williams and H. Pullet fc respectively.
