OEEDINGS
[Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Fob. 4. At the Magistrate’s 'Court to-day the hearing of evidence, -in the charge of murder preferred against Dr. Goode, of Waitara. was continued. Eight witnesses were examined, including Dr. Glaridgo, who attended Goode after his arrest. He deposed that Goode was not drunk, but very much excited, -and exceedingly angry at tho indignity put upon him by his. arrest, and by -being handcuffed. The hospital medical staff gave evidence that Mrs. Klenner died as the result of bid!et wounds, and produced the bullets extracted. TisdaLl, a gunsmith, said that the, bullets were such as would be fired from the pistol found in Dr. Goode’s surgery, and the marks on them corresponded with the peculiar rifling of the weapon. None of the witnesses so far have been cross-examined. There are still seven witnesses to call out of thirty-two originally on the list. ■
