LONDON, Feb. 5
The “Morning Post” warns intending immigrants to disregard the Nowcastle (New South Wales) Labor Council’s communication to the Parliamentary Labor Committee. The Council represents that labor greatly exceeds the demand, that men in all ranks are earning a precarious livelihood and undertaking work for which they are unfitted, and protests against the Government negotiating with the Salvation Army. The “Post” asserts that immigration is conducted in the best possible way by persons compelled to consider the laws of supply and demand, and considers tlie efforts of the Newcastle labor ring to retard economic progress as unjustifiable.
