TWO TORPEDO-DESTROYERS TO
BE ORDERED

MELBOTJItNE, Feb. 5
The Federal Government lias decided to at once order two torpedo-des-troyers, of the river class and of the latest .approved type. They are wanted to serve as models for boats to bo built .afterwards in Australia. It is the intention of the Government to send to England skilled operatives to be employed by the successful tenderer for the construction of the vessels. On completion of the contract the men are to return to Australia in order to be employed in building additional vessels locally. v
