Feb. 6. •Extraordinary floods have occurred in Saxony, Thuringia, Bavaria, .and the Tyrol, owing to the sudden melting of the snows. Whole towns arc under water. The railways in many parts of Saxony have been interrupted, and many bridges wrecked. The Lalm valley is a vast lake. The Rhine is expected to reach danger point daily. At Nuremberg and Bognitz the river rose twelve feet in a night and ran through the streets like a mill strea m. The population at Frankfurt and Bamberg are fleeing to high ground. At Kissingen the olef town is under water. The three famous saline springs are flooded and the casino inundated. The Danube at Regensburg rose ten feet in a night, and the stream is full of household utensils, bathing boxes, and agricultural machinery.
