The Rugby 'Union International Board disagreed on Scotland’s proposition that the d"’ly allowances to the New Zealand team amounted to professionalism, Scotland and Ireland voting for the proposition, and England and Wales against it.. The Board unanimously resolved that cash allowances were contrary to the principle of Rugby football, and that no such allowances must be made in future. AUSTRALIAN LEAGUERS DEFEATED. (Received February 8, 12.16 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 7. Broughton Rangers (4 goals and 2 tries) defeated the Australian Leaguers (3 goals and 2 tries). In the first half the Rangers secured 2 goals from tries, and for the Leaguers Graves obtained ia try, Messenger converting. In the second half . the Rangers obtained two penalty goals. Messenger and Hoidke secured Hries for the Leaguers, which were unconverted. The game was very rough, two of the Rangers being ordered off the field.
