Australia united with you in wishing the convention complete success.” The message was cheered. THE NEW UNIVERSITY. NATIONAL CONVENTION WANTS IRISH MADE A COMPULSORY ' SUBJECT. (Received'Feb. 11,. 11.10 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 11. The Irish National Convention of Dublin, against Mr.* Dillon’s strong view, by a large majority, recommended that the Irish language should be made a compulsory subject in the curriculum of tho new University.
