ROBBERY IN AN HOTEL.

LODGER LOSES £IOO. [Press Association.] WELLINGTON. Fob. 15. Information was forwarded to the police authorities to-day that a daring robbery has taken place in one of the leading hotels.. The victim is stated to be -a commercial traveller. It is reported that while he was having his morning bath preparatory to dressing, his bedroom was visited and a considerable sum of money taken. The thief was apparently not taking any increased risk, as although there were jewellery and other valuables conspicuous in' the room, he- preferred cash only. The victim was tomed to-take his valuables into "the bathroom with him, but omitted to do so. Ho. remembered before bo had finished his bath and rail back at once, only to find bis money gone. The amount 'is stated to be over £IOO.
