PAN-ANGLICAN THANKS OFFER- * INGS. ' COLONIAL AND FOREIGN GRANTS. United Press Association. Copyright (Received Feb. 15, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 15. Of £223,000 unappropriated out of the Pan-Anglican tlian'ks' offering, £IO,OOO ihas been apportioned to Australia, £2OOO to New Zealand, mainly for education, £15,000 to Canada, £24,000 to South Africa, half for education of whites and half for education of natives; £24,000 to West, East, and Central Africa, particularly for the purpose- of staying the advance of Mohammedanism; £50,000 to India, £34,000 to China, £30,000 to Japan ,£15,000 to Jamaica, to rebuild churches. Of the apportioned gifts,£42,ooo goes to Canada and £15,000 to Aus'tralasia. . % (Received Feb. 15, 11.46 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 15. The Pan-Anglican allotment of grants is provisional. The Bishops are asked to summon a workers’ conference in view of the preparation of plans, which the committee will consider before the final details of the allotment arc settled.
