CONDITIONS. PENALTIES.—The winner of any flat race, alter the declaration of weights, to carry 71b penalty, of two or more flat races 121 b penalty. WEIGHTS will he declared on or about Saturday. March loth. OPEN PACES.—No restrictions. ACOEPTANC'ES—Acceptances close with the Secretary, Air. B. H. Aislabie, Air. AY. G. Nightingale, Napier, on Thursday, 18th March. 1909. HACK DEFINITION'.—No horse eligible to start in a hack race that lias won a race of the value of 20 so vs at time of starting. No horse shall be allowed to start unless all nomination fees have been paid. PERMlTS.—Permits will be issued to approved Bookmakers at Co os each. Permits must be obtained from the Secretary before 11.30 a.m. on the day of races. Bookmakers plying their occupation without permission will be removed and prosecuted. MINIMUM WElGHT.—Minimum weight in all events excepting Alaiden Scurry and Ladies’ Bracelet, 9~t. PROTESTS. Protests, if any, must he made in writing and handed to the Secretary within 15 minutes alter the first horse passes the post. A deposit of ,C2 must accompany each protest, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest be-not sustained. No entry will be received lor any race except on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall bo decided by a majority of the stewards. ENTRlES.—Entries will only be received on the condition that a decision of the majority of the stewards shall be final on any point arising out of the definition of district boundaries. In all nominations, description, age, pedigree, and performances of horses,, name of the trainer and colors of the rider must be given. Metropolitan Rules of Racing strictly adhered to. B. H.
