The body- of George Cooper, fireman, lias been recovered from the Penguin wreck.

GOVERNMENT WILL SUPPLEMENT RELIEF SUBSCRIPTIONS;

CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 19

The Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward) has telegraphed to the Mayor of Christchurch, staling that the Government will be pleased to substanti;ll y supplement any private subscriptions that may be received for the relief of those who have suffered in Hie Penguin disaster.
