Attention is directed to an advertisement- in connection with the Technical School, which states that a class for instruction in English and arith metio will be commenced on Tuesday evening, under Mr. Cowan, second assistant “master in the Gisborne School. The object of this class is to give an opportunity to those who wish to improve their education. There aro a great number of young people in Gisborne, as elsewhere, who, through force of circumstances, have had to leave school at an early _ age, who should welcome an opportunity such as this. The fee is a nominal one, being only 10s Gd a quarter, and it is hoped the efforts of the committee will be rewarded by a Marge class. The secretary (Mil 1 . W.
