Mr. J.'Nutting, who has been connected with the local office of the Public Works Department for a number of years, has received orders of transfer to the Dunedin office. DivTutore Wi Rena, who has been confined to the-hospital with typhoid fever, is reported to he convalescent. Dr. Carlyle" Wilson was a passenger last evening for Napier. Mr. C. IT. Bosley, a prominent South Canterbury business man, is at present on a short visit to Gisborne. Mr. M. Mnllin. -a member of the Timaru Borough Council, who was returning home from Auckland, spent a few hours in town yesterday afternoon. Captain .Tnnassen, who met with a balloon accident at Victoria Domain a, short time ago. is reported at. the •hospital to he progressing favorably.
