ANNUAL MEETING. [P ress Association.] NAPIER, Fob. 22. The annual meeting of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association was opened this evening. The Mayor of Napier (Mr. J. Vigor Brown, M.P.) welcomed the delegates. The president (Dr. T. C. Moore, ol Napier) devoted the main portion of his address to the evils of patent and proprietary medicines. He urged that the medical profession should warn the public against worthless or injurious nostrums, and suggested that arrangements might he made to publish the formulas of these vaunted cure-alls in the daily press, if possible and, if the press refused, then in the fdr in of a pamphlet, to be distributed broadcast.
