THE INDIAN COUNCILS BILL.
CONCESSIONS TO MOHAMMEDANS. United Peess Association. Coptbight LONDON, Feb. 24. Lord Curzon and nord MacDonald made a friendly criticism of the Indian Councils Bill, in the second reading debate. They strongly deprecated the appointment of natives' on the Viceroy’s Council. The Bill concedes Mohammedans separate electorates, and in legislative councils a number of seats in excess of their numerical -strength. (Received Feb. 25, 10.45 p.m.) - LONDON, Feb. 25. In the House of Lords, after criticism from Lord- Cromer and . Lord Lansdowne, the Indian Bill was read a second time. Viscount Morley promising information in committee regarding the effect of the main regulations.
