YESTERDAY’S PROCEEDINGS
[Press Association.] NAPIER, Feb. 25. s Large and appreciative audiences have attended all the events, and the financial success of the contest is assured. The gates lit the garden party “on Tuesday realised £92, and the quickstep contest £l6O. The. total takings to date, including competition fees and season tickets, amount to £430. The E flat bass competition resulted : —A. Gunner (Petone) 81, S. Signal (Wanganui) SO, E. S. Venson (Stratford) 79. B flat bass: W. Penhall (Wanganui) 73, G. Clayton (Gisborne) 66. In the E flat bass, A. Gunner (Petone Citizens), SI points, was first ; S. Signal (Wanganui Garrison), 80 points, second. There were eight competitors." / B flat bass : AV, Penhall (Wanganui Garrison), 73 points, 1; Charles Clay-tdn-(Gisborne City), 66 points, 2. The only competitors.' / Bb bass: Hughes (Nelson Garrison), 94 points, 1; AV. Pitfar (Palmerston North Brass Band), S 9 points, 2. Four competitors. Trombone :T.
