The score was increased to 217 yesterday (Taylor 60 and Hinds 28 being the additional batsmen to make good scores). Parnell went in again and made 184 for six wickets (Sale 37, Hutchings 37, Bar.ry 36 not out, and Wright 29). Hutchings took five. Colts’ wickets for 36 runs. University defeated Ponsonby by nine runs ou the first innings. Bonsonby’s first innings total was 194. University continued their innings, the leading additional scorers being Wallace 99, Jacobsen 21, and Colville 17. Woods took six wickets for 33 runs. University score a two-point win; City, with 179 behind North Shore on the first innings, decided to forfeit tho match, their position being hopeless. North Shore thus secured a three-point win.
