WANGANUI RACES. [Prf.sb Association.] ~ WANGANUI, March 4. - The - Wanganui Jockey Club’s autumn meeting wa6 opened to-day in glorious weather. There was a large attendance, and the totalisator put through £12,468, as against £11,048 ■for the first day last year. Twentyfoiif bookmakers were present. The results of the racing were as follows: ' Stewards’ Handicap.—Tan San 1, Tiptoe 2, Arclight 3. Also started: St, Aidan, Belario, and Flotilla.
