HANDICAP PAIRS. W. McPherson and W. Ratcliffe (2&>, boat AV. H. Douglas and J. J. Mart-in (19).—The former pair received a handicap of 9 points, and on the 11th head h'ad their: handicap to the good—l9—lo. This lead they increased on the next few heads, but Douglas and Martin made a recovery, though on the final head they were still unable to .reduce--the handicap, McPherson and? Ratcliffe • thus wining by that number of points—9. The winners now become the possessors of the bowling hags presented by- Messrs J. Colley 'and W. H. Clayton. HANDICAP SINGLES. Entries are now being taken for Handicap Singles for a pair of*bowls presented by Messrs Stewart and Co., of Auckland. GISBORNE CLUB. The weather yesterday afternoon was exceedingly favorable for bowling, and the green of the Gisborne Club was iii excellent playing condition. Consequently: the large number of players who assembled thereon had a very enjoyabl time. ’ ; : MARTIN MEDALS. A match in the Martin Medals (handicap fours) competition, between rinks skipped by F. Eure and Gaudin, which had been partially played on a previous ‘occasion, was resumed, and resulted .in a win for the former by seven points. The players and scores were as follows: Kyme, S.ymour, Mackintosh, and Eure (skip) 23, heat Crawford, J. F. Pettie (sul ), Ambrklge, and Gaud in (skip) IG. PRESIDENT’S CUP. Two matches were played in the President’s Champion Cup competition, F. W. Pettie beat Corson by 10 to 14, and Kyme defeated Boulton by 23 to 8. OTHER GAMES. Other games played were, as follows : - Davies, Olliver, Ellison, and Lucas (ski])) 30, beat Pemberton, Elliott, AVootton, and J. F. Pettie (skip) 18. Gilmour, G. Miller, W.
