HOCKEY.
KIA KAHA HOCKEY CLUB. The annual n -etiiig of the Kia Ivaha Hockey Cl. b was held in the Masonic Hotel la t evening, Mr. G. R. Grant in the chair. There was a large attendance. The club colors were discussed, and ultimately all black, with white facings,' was decided upon. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. R. .Johnstone; vicepresidents, Messrs L. Maude, H. E. Maude, T. Clarkson, W. Paltridge, iiiid E. H. Pavitt; captain, Mr. Bert Bright; vice-captain, Mr. T.'H. Garrett; bon. secretary and treasurer. Mr. G. R. Grant; delegates to Association, Messrs Grant and Somerville; general committee, Messrs B. Bright, R. Grant, Grieves, Pollock, and Knibbs.
Mr. H. J. Grieve promised to give a trophy for presentation to the best back player, and Mr. B. Bright a trophy for the best forward player in the club. Mr. Bright also promised to provide caps for the players. Ten new members were elected. IS ■
