DISSATISFIED GO-OPERA-TIVE WORKERS.
THE TROUBLE ENDED. [Press Association.] - CHRISTCHURCH, March 4. The trouble amongst a section of the co-operative workers on the Midland railway at Broken River arose from the decision of the ; Public Works Department to discontinue paying day rates of 9s jer day but to pay Is 3d per truck. The men contended that’ if paid per truck they must receive 2s per truck in order to make a living wage. On the assurance of the overseer that they ’ would receive 9s per day the men returned to work to-day. d
